What is BRAIN?
BRAIN is a powerful Windows-based application that runs on a standard Windows XP machine and the Whitebox Robotics 914 robot. It brings an array of features to the 914 to make the 914 immediately useful right out of the box. BRAIN is designed for novices just getting started in robotics, but is rich enough for even experienced robotists. BRAIN is the “intelligence” for your 914. It allows your robot to sense, to speak, to move, to see, all via a user friendly interface.

Don't let the name fool you, BRAIN is powerful. While it has a simple to use interface for the beginner, it also offers power “under the hood” for the more sophisticated user. BRAIN allows you to start with the basics, but as you get more comfortable, and want to do more, BRAIN provides the ability do more sophisticated tasks with your Robot. Even if you are an accomplished robotist, you'll find that BRAIN has a lot to offer.
You don’t have to be a programmer or engineer to use BRAIN. Simply install the application, launch it, and you're up and running in seconds.

BRAIN is unique.
Unlike the other Robot applications and tools on the market, BRAIN was designed with a unique goal - to let anyone control a Robot with a powerful, but simple set of tools. You don’t have to be an engineer, or a programmer to use BRAIN, in fact, you don’t have to be very technical at all. You simply install BRAIN and within seconds you are controlling your Robot.
BRAIN also runs on a remote client. In fact, it’s the exact same installer. This allows you to install BRAIN on the Robot, and BRAIN on a client, so that you can control the Robot over the Internet. You can see what the Robot sees while you’re away. Control your Robot remotely. Have it performs tasks, and more.
BRAIN is extensible.
BRAIN contains a powerful, easy to learn scripting language that lets you extend the power of your Robot. Using scripts you can have your Robot perform an almost unlimited set of tasks. For example, you might have your Robot keep an eye on the weather, check stocks, alert you when a specific event has occurred, keep an eye on your house using motion detection, and much more.
